Egyptian Blue Painted Vessel

For this project, I was prompted to research and coil-construct an 18' tall replica of a historic ceramic piece. When I came across Egyptian blue pottery, I was captivated by the radiant use pigment for the time period. The vessel I chose to replicate was covered in detailed painting motifs with a rounded base. This time consuming earthenware & slip painted work was my first ceramic creation & inspired me to pursue a minor in ceramic art.
